yes, ladies and gentlemen, those were the days. before i dyed my hair, before i wore expensive sneakers, back before i wore makeup, back before the days of earrings and text messages and school projects due and parties and song lyrics and cute boy bands and back before time began........

there was an oatmeal-flavored Hannah Montana sticker pressed up against the wall, wearing baggy shorts and some loose-fitting t-shirt, with just one sister and glue-and-glitter homeschool friends and uneven bangs and freckles. she wanted to be a writer when she grew up, but that changed from day to day. she spent her days running around outside catching frogs with her cousin and then went to bed at seven o'clock. wheat toast for breakfast. math workbooks for lunch. cheerful, happy, and carefree.

i just had a fight with sam. over cookies. kyle's threatening to kidnap me if we don't hang out soon. my friend gummie's been messaging me more than ever. song lyrics are coming more than usual. everything seems to be both falling out of place and into it...

and now, my wonderful audience, i present to you, cassidy. she's wearing purple basketball shorts, and Adventure Time t-shirt her aunt bought for her, with her half-blond half-brown hair up in a messy bun because it's summer and she doesn't want to do anything with it. she's not wearing makeup. she's wearing black diamond stud earrings. she's biting her lip and texting her friend andrew and blogging and singing a song in her head and she's also looking for pictures she can tumblr. because she's a nerd.

cassidy is bored and freezing cold because there's a fan right next to her and an open window and it's cold and rainy outside. she misses her brother ozzy today because she hasn't seen him in months. and she's also thinking about how last week she ran around in the rain and got soaked with her friends Sandra, Sadie, Katie, Hunter, and Kyla. and she's also thinkin about sam, because she can't see him again because he's transferring to the next middle school. and she's sad. because he was her best friend. other than kyle. who's sad because she can't come over tomorrow.

these thoughts are completely irrelevant and she's going to end with a picture and a song quote. don't expect a lot of posts from her because she'll be talking to sam 24/7. and she's hopeless....
